Program Name: “Microcredit Program for Self-Employment of Women”

Aims and Objectives: To alleviate poverty and create opportunities for self-employment by providing loans to destitute and destitute women. The real aim and purpose of this program is to increase the self-awareness of the neglected and deprived women of the country, protect their rights and make them self-reliant by uncovering their productivity. Women earn their livelihood by doing various income generating activities like buying sewing machines, rearing cows, goats and poultry, small businesses, fish farming, nurseries etc. with loan money. In addition, through this loan program, the necessary activities for improving the quality of life of women such as using sanitary latrines, sending boys and girls to school, birth registration, birth control, primary health care, giving immunization injections to children, drinking clean water, prevention of dowry and child marriage etc. Be aware.

Details: The "Microcredit Program for Women's Self-Employment" program is being implemented in 489 upazilas under 64 districts of the country from 2003-04 to 2021-2022 financial year. Total allocation from 2003-04 to 2021-2022 financial year February/2022 is 56.5320 (fifty six crore fifty three lakh twenty thousand) taka. 154.1980 (One Hundred Fifty Four Crore Nineteen Lakh Eighty Thousand) taka have been distributed among 1,49,221 distressed and helpless women in rolling form and total collection is 122.6190 (One Hundred Twenty Two Crore Sixty One Lakh Ninety Thousand) taka. .
